Where do I collect my rental?
Experience our hassle-free service which enables you to conveniently collect your vehicle at the Princess Juliana Airport Parking lot upon arrival.
Upon exiting the St.Maarten Airport Arrivals area, a warm welcome awaits you from our Starlite Representatives, ready to escort you to the parking lot for vehicle collection. Easily identifiable in their vibrant red Starlite uniform shirts, our professional agents proudly display a Starlite Signboard, ensuring you can easily spot them amidst the bustling surroundings.
Cruise ship customers can easily retrieve their vehicles at the renowned Chesterfields Restaurant parking lot, conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the harbor port.
Where do I return my rental?
Take advantage of our convenient direct drop-off service, available at various locations such as Princes Juliana Airport, Port St. Maarten, or your hotel. Experience the added flexibility of our direct airport departure drop-off service, which enables you to make those last-minute stops hassle-free.
How much is the rental deposit?
The rental deposit differentiates depending on the vehicle category. The deposit for Cars is $750 and for larger vehicles $900 -$1200. The deposit amount is blocked on your account and the payment is processed after the vehicle is returned. The block is normally lifted immediately, however this is dependent on your bank. Regional banks can take up to 10 days.
What is the Cancellation Policy?
There are no cancellation fees applied to online bookings. However, as a courtesy, we request that all cancellations be communicated 48 hours prior to arrival.
What is the Refueling Policy?
To ensure a smooth return process, kindly bring back the vehicle with the same fuel level documented on your rental contract during the checkout inspection. Please be aware that failure to refuel will incur a refueling charge.
Are there additional charges?
Additional charges may be processed if the vehicle is not returned with the same amount of fuel registered on the date you collected your vehicle. So, be sure to fuel up your vehicle before your departure. Moreover, for rentals spanning fewer than 6 days, our pricing follows a convenient 24-hour rental scheme. This implies that if a rental is returned beyond the scheduled time, additional hour charges may apply, commencing at just $5 per extra hour. We aim to provide transparency and flexibility, ensuring that you have the flexibility you need while keeping you informed about any potential additional costs associated with your rental.
Which credit cards are accepted?
We gladly accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.
Can I return my vehicle to an unmanned location?
Yes, vehicles can be returned to unmanned locations, however, this must first be agreed upon and registered on your rental contract. Depending on your drop-off location a fee may be applied.
Customers should never leave their vehicle unattended with the keys inside the vehicle or with the doors unlocked. Keys must be returned to an authorized Starlite representative.
What is the minimum Rental Period?
We do not have a minimum renting period. A fixed daily rate is charged based on a 24-hour period.
Do you rent automatic vehicles?
All vehicles are equipped with an automatic transmission, power windows, A/C, USB, AUX, and Bluetooth capabilities.
When do I pay for the rental?
As part of the registration process, a standard pre-authorization hold will be placed on your credit card, typically in the area of your total billing charge. Rest assured, after your rental period, your card will only be charged for the actual rental amount.
What is the legal driving age?
In St. Maarten / St. Martin, the minimum legal driving age is 18 years old. To rent a vehicle with us, our customers must be 21 years of age or older.
What is the legal drinking age?
In St. Maarten, the legal drinking age is 18 years. Nonetheless, it is important to note that drinking and driving are strictly prohibited on the island.
Which currency is used on St. Maarten / St. Martin?
St. Maarten / St. Martin uses 3 currencies. The American US dollar and the Euro are accepted throughout the entire island. The Dutch guilder is only accepted on the Dutch side of the island.
